Sports Camps

Stevenson School will offer camps this summer for students interested in boys basketball, boys lacrosse, coed soccer, field hockey, girls basketball, yoga and wellness, girls lacrosse, girls volleyball, swimming, tennis, track and field, and water polo. Most camps will include morning and afternoon sessions with a break for lunch, and participants will eat lunch in the school dining hall. A certified athletics trainer will be on site for all camps.

Come join us this summer at the Stevenson Basketball camp held on our Upper School Campus in beautiful Pebble Beach, California.

Directed by Tyler Brown, former college basketball player and coach and current Head Boys Basketball coach. Tyler has over 10 years of experience as a high school and collegiate coach. He has also spent time as the director of an AAU basketball program. Tyler’s impact was felt immediately as he joined the Stevenson staff, helping to lead the Pirates to 37-16 record, a CCS runner-up finish for Division 5 and a berth in the CIF Nor-Cal Tournament, over two seasons as the associate head coach. His coaching journey includes stops at California State Monterey Bay, San Francisco State and California State Fullerton. Tyler has had a hand in developing 12 NCAA All-conference selections, 6 NCAA All-Academic selections, 1 NCAA All-American, while helping over 20 Players go on to play professionally including one in the NBA.

The Stevenson Basketball Camp is an opportunity for boys and girls entering 4th – 8th grade to play basketball, improve their skills, and have fun. Campers will be placed in groups with players of similar skill and ability. This camp is perfect for those new to the game as well as experienced players looking to take their games to the next level. This camp will provide participants with an opportunity to improve their individual skills and knowledge and provide opportunities to implement the skills they have learned throughout the week in a competitive environment.

Camp will consist of 4-days of instruction (Monday thru Thursday) and run from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM, with a break for lunch from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM. Players will experience the benefits of an all-inclusive camp that looks to engage and inspire each player at camp and to instill positive character traits such as confidence, self-motivation, and a passion for the sport.

Leap Academy – Train Like an International

Our in-person training events are a chance to train for 3 days like the best players in the world do!

We’ve taken the best practices from the elite set-ups of the Great Britain, Australian and Netherlands National Teams and distilled them in our unique Leap Academy syllabus.

Giving players a taste of how to get to the very top level and perform at the highest level.

Improve Game Intelligence
Our sessions are designed to elevate your technical fundamentals and movement but most importantly to greatly improve your cognitive abilities. We will help you understand & see the game in a new light that will allow your performance to take a huge LEAP.

Master Advanced Techniques
‍Learn the latest techniques in 3D skills, drag-flicking, overheads, passing, and elimination skills from world-class experts who have successfully executed them at the highest level!

  • Former England and Great Britain International Player and previous Temple University Coach.
  • Ross founded LEAP Hockey in 2014 after realizing that his passion was not only playing the game but passing on his knowledge and experience to the next generation of athletes.
  • Having played International hockey for England and Great Britain from the age of fifteen. Winning a silver medal at the Youth Olympics and being selected for the Great Britain Rio 2016 Olympic Games squad. Ross understands the commitment and dedication it takes to reach the highest level.

Come join us this summer at the Stevenson Boys Lacrosse camp held in beautiful Pebble Beach, California on our amazing campus and turf fields.

Directed by former collegiate players that are now great coaches and mentors, Cooper Kehoe and Schuyler Horn, Stevenson Boys Lacrosse Camp is an opportunity for youth of all levels to play, have fun, get better, and build connections with friends and coaches. This camp will cater to both youth new to the game of, as well as experienced players looking to take their game to the next level! We will provide participants with an opportunity to develop their individual skill set and lacrosse IQ, emphasize small sided play, and implement the skills they learn in practice during nightly games. Athletes will be split up by age and skill level throughout camp.

Coach Kehoe and Horn will be supported by a staff of current college and talented high school boys who are eager to mentor and develop the next generation of players.

Come join us this summer at the Stevenson Girls Lacrosse Camp held in beautiful Pebble Beach, California. Directed by former collegiate players that are now great coaches and mentors, Annie Carroll and Schuyler Horn, and will be accompanied by current college players and talented high school players who care deeply about developing the next generation of girls lacrosse players. 

Stevenson Girls Lacrosse camp keeps the fun in fundamentals and creates an environment that fosters growth and a life-long love for lacrosse. We cater to both youth new to the game of lacrosse, as well as experienced players looking to take their game to the next level! Throughout the four days, we will provide girls with an opportunity to develop their individual skills and lacrosse IQ, emphasize small sided play, and opportunities to implement the skills they learn in a competitive game-like environment. Our goal is to develop skilled players who are confident, ready to lead their team, and love lacrosse.

Campers will be grouped by experience and skill and have access to top notch athletic facilities throughout the duration of camp.

Stevenson Co-ed Pole Vault camp is open to Middle and High School athletes from novice to expert. This camp will use drills, video analysis, and competition to introduce and hone pole vault skills. Led by Stevenson, Pacific Grove, and former Hartnell College pole vault coach Jesus Santos and Stevenson head track coach Ron Provost, participants will learn track and field basics, and be able to vault and jump at Stevenson’s outdoor facility. Camp will prepare novices in Pole Vault to attend a winter pole vault clinic run by Spirit/UCS – details will be shared at camp.

Camp is on an every other day format to maximize rest and recovery.

These sessions will be an opportunity to improve individual skills, connect with fellow athletes, and have fun! Join Stevenson boys and girls coaches for an advanced soccer clinic at our turf facility on the Pebble Beach campus. This camp is designed for players looking to take their game to the next level. Training sessions will be focused on individual skill development, tactical awareness, and overall soccer IQ. If you’re looking to improve your game and add tools to your repertoire, this is a great opportunity to work with other motivated athletes and enjoy the beautiful game!

Join our Swimming camp at Stevenson this summer led by Coaches Allen Garner and Franco Pacheco. Our coaches have a combined fifteen years of collegiate coaching experience (at Villanova, Colby, Colorado, Bowdoin, and St. Norbert to name a few) and will guide a week of experience and fun. Our session will provide opportunities to improve technical skills, create good practice habits, and will span one HIIT training cycle. If you have some experience swimming competitively and/or are on your journey from good to great, consider joining us this summer. There is no better place to swim than under the sun at the beautiful Stevenson campus at Pebble Beach.

The sessions will provide opportunities to improve individual skills, volleyball IQ, offense/defense strategies, as well as connect with fellow athletes–all while having fun! If you are new to volleyball or already on your journey from good to great, consider joining us this summer. The six sessions will provide opportunities to improve position specific skills, volleyball IQ, offense/defense strategies, as well as connect with fellow athletes–all while having fun! If you are on your journey from good to great, consider joining us this summer. There is no better place to play volleyball than the beautiful Stevenson campus at Pebble Beach.

Level up your water polo game this summer at the premier water polo training camp of 2024! Join top college coaches, high school coaches, and players from around the country, on the beautiful Stevenson School campus located in picturesque Pebble Beach, California. 

Perched on the rugged Central California coast just ½ mile from the Pacific Ocean, Stevenson School boasts an impressive aquatic center, residence halls, four academic buildings, playing fields, and an inviting dining hall. 

Stevenson Level Up Water Polo Camp will provide excellent instruction led by knowledgeable and highly successful coaches, as well as classroom sessions, video analysis, and downtime to enjoy the white sand beaches, local scenery, and quaint towns nearby. On closing night, campers will be treated to a beach bonfire complete with smores!

Field players and goalies alike will learn from some of the top college and high school coaches in the country:

The camp will focus on individual skills, team tactics, game strategies, fundamentals, and dryland training. Classroom sessions will focus on recruiting and college admissions, chalk-talks, nutrition, and video analysis. Fun and enriching activities are also planned throughout the day. 

Both residential and day programs are available. All meals are included for residential campers and lunch is provided for day campers. 

The camp is open for boys and girls entering grade 8 – grade 12 who have played water polo for at least one year. 

This is sure to be a truly special, memorable, and unique water polo experience unlike anything else available throughout the country. Our goal is to have campers return year after year.

Join us this summer at the Stevenson Yoga & Wellness Camp

If you mix yoga, creative arts, mindfulness and a whole lot of fun together. Participants will stretch their bodies and minds daily with yoga practices, outdoor explorations with education on herbalism, creative mindfulness art workshops, reflection time with journaling and restorative meditations.

At just the perfect age to focus attention on self esteem, positive attitudes, health and wellness, creative approaches to problem solving, and compassion, yoga can be a powerful vehicle for middle school aged children to prepare for the challenges they face in our fast paced world today.  This camp includes not just mat yoga, but acro-yoga. Each attendee will learn a specific sequence by the end of the week, chakra exploration, art, and yoga/wellness themed activities.

Come join the ARD “Athletic Rhythm Dance” intensive camp held on our beautiful Upper School campus in beautiful Pebble Beach, California.

Directed by Jahnna Biddle – De La Rosa, current director of dance at Stevenson and a renowned choreographer, performer, dancer. She is artist director for JBsoul Dance Theater Company, member of the choreographers alliance, and artist by her own right. With over 30 years experience in the dance industry (Television, film, and theater), and 25 years experience in dance education Jahnna brings a unique approach to dance for everyone. Her students have achieved many accomplishments and believe dance is for everyone. Specializing in the overall physical performance of dancers Jahnna has a profound background in all styles of dance, strength and conditioning programs, competitive dance, and in performance.

The Stevenson ARD “Athletic Rhythm Dance” camp is an opportunity for athletes in grades 5-12 to advance their athletic awareness and athletic strength. This camp will be run as a group setting but for individual practice. It is for athletes ready to take their practice and game to the next level.

ARD “Athletic Rhythm Dance” intensive camp will offer a unique physical approach that will greatly improve athletes’ athletic performance. It is designed for both athletes and dance performing artists. Focus will be on quick reflexes, coordination, balance, speed, stretches to connect with new muscle groups, flexibility, stretching, and injury prevention. Body agility is a very strong motor skill for dance and athletic performance. The best of the best are adding dance to their training workouts. Come work out and learn center core, isolation through movement, skills using a combination of static and dynamic balance, transition footwork combination workouts through agility ladder. This training is formed and shaped for athletes through the design of dance to help build endurance for the ultimate performance.

The intensive will be run as a group setting but for individual practice. It is for dancers ready to take their practice to the next level.

The intensive will offer a unique physical approach that will greatly improve dancers’ physical performance. It is designed for dancers interested in advancing skill, technique, and improvisational work. Focus will be on quick reflexes, coordination, balance, stretches to connect with new muscle groups, flexibility, stretching, and injury prevention. Come express yourself through dance and learn center core, isolation through movement, skills using a combination of static and dynamic balance, transition choreography combinations.
